The Bends Compressor V2 from Fender pairs low-noise OTA-based compression with an independent boost circuit, offering both modern clarity and vintage tube-style colour via a rear-mounted switch. Designed to respond naturally to playing dynamics, this compressor balances volume between loud and quiet passages while adding sustain and thickness. Three-speed Attack switching, fine-tuned Release control, and an Input control that governs compression trigger sensitivity provide precise dynamic shaping for guitar and bass.

The active Tone control features a centre detent for cutting or boosting treble frequencies, compensating for any high-end loss during compression. A Blend control reintroduces clean signal for parallel compression, preserving pick attack while applying compression character. The Comp Pre/Post switch internally reorders the boost and compression stages – boost-first routing yields Nashville-style sustain, while post-compression boost provides a dedicated solo level increase into downstream effects. Multiswitch-enabled footswitches allow both momentary and latching operation, with switchable buffered or true bypass modes.
